1. ASNI: Power Side-Channel-Attack Resistance
Description: Attenuated Signature Noise Injection (ASNI) is a low overhead hardware obfuscation technique on a traditional encryption engine (AES-128, in this work). ASNI comprises of a Signature Attenuation Hardware (SAH) along with a noise injection (NI) circuit. SAH attenuates the critical AES signature, and minimal noise injection in the attenuated signature domain achieves SCA immunity (MTD > 50K) with high energy efficiency, and without any performance penalty. SAH circuit modelling for the ASNI - AES is provided below.
